DESCRIPTIONS OF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Front Desk Volunteer - Front Desk Volunteers provide customer service to visitors. Duties include greeting visitors, collecting admissions, explaining museum layout, and sharing the benefits of membership.

Gift Shop Assistant -Gift Shop Volunteers provide customer service to visitors, ring sales, restock merchandise, and help keep assist Gift Shop Manager.

Soda Fountain Volunteer - Soda Fountain Volunteers provide food and beverage service to visitors. Volunteers receive special "Soda Jerk" training to learn how to make old-fashioned ice cream treats.

Train Car Host - Train Car Hosts greet visitors and answer questions about the train cars.

Docent - Docents lead groups of visitors through the Museum exhibits.

Photo Archives - Volunteers in Photo Archives assist with maintaining the Museum's extensive photo collection.

Information Desk Volunteer - Information Desk Volunteers provide customer service to visitors by answering questions and providing information about the Museum.

Gallery Guide - Gallery Guides move through the exhibits and provide information about the exhibits to visitors. Gallery Guides may give 2-3 minutes "mini tours" of exhibit areas.
