Cookie Train Event
January 4, 2008

To kick-off their 2008 cookie campaign, the Girl Scouts – Great Plains Council built the World’s Largest Girl Scout Cookie Train. The train was assembled at the Durham Western Heritage Museum on Friday, January 4, beginning at 10 a.m., with the completed cookie train ready for display at 2 p.m.
The World’s Largest Girl Scout cookie train is approximately one-foot-tall and 60-feet in length. Each mini "box car" was designed and created by Girl Scouts and their troop leaders. Participants were given artistic freedom for their individual box cars, with only one stipulation: they had to incorporate actual Girl Scout Cookies onto their box car design.
Over 200 were in the attendance for the event. Scroll down for pictures.
