Dominos

Amazon Voyage: Vicious Fishes and Other Riches

Things are going to get downright dangerous this summer when Amazon Voyage: Vicious Fishes and Other Riches slithers to the Durham! This blockbuster exhibition from the Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium will enjoy a three-month stay at the Museum this summer. Take the voyage of a lifetime as you and your family explore the most biologically diverse river in the world: the Amazon River in South America.You’ll be greeted by enormous anacondas, piranhas, electric fish and mystifying pink dolphins.Your family will also find lots of interactive stations, fish-filled aquariums, and more as you work your way through five ecosystems.Amazon Voyage is an amazing bilingual exhibition that blends science and nature into one great family experience. Just make sure to check for bite marks before you leave!

 

The Sea Beneath Our Feet

May 31 – August 31, 2008

While you’re at the Amazon Voyage exhibit, be sure to explore The Sea Beneath Our Feet. Learn the story of the Ogallala Aquifer, which formed millions of years ago beneath the Midwest. Read about Nebraska’s management of our natural resources and its effects on the entire region. If you think flat land is all there is to Nebraska, you’re just scratching the surface!

Baseball in Omaha
May 17 – August 10, 2008

Catch Omaha’s baseball heritage this summer at the Durham! Fans of all ages will be able to check out Omaha’s first professional teams, the growth of the CWS in Omaha and more! It’s a perfect complement to the perfect summer game.
